A local couple has opened a Carpinteria cafe, providing catering, a counter lunch service, and cooking classes. Chef Nirasha and Jason Rodriguez have crafted a healthy, seasonal lunch menu, served 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. The couple personally designed every aspect of the new space, from the high dining tables to the ultra-modern cooking class kitchen.
Nirasha, a Kentucky native and self-taught local chef for the past dozen years. “We are excited to bring people into our kitchen,” she said. “I want this to be a community space.” The classes (cost is $75-$95 per person) feature various techniques and styles, from the classics to appetizers and ethnic fare with an emphasis on healthy cuisine.
The Food Packaged To-Go Lunch Counter is open Monday – Friday 11am – 3pm. Items Rotate Daily.
