Red Hen Cannery is an artisanal, small-batch jam company based in Carpinteria, California. Owner Maureen Foley uses family recipes and Foley Farm fruits and herbs, plus fruit from local family farms in the Central Coast to produce stunningly simple and astoundingly innovative fruit preserves.
Jams and Marmalade flavors vary seasonally and include Santa Rosa Plum and Chai Spice, Tangelo-Kumquat, and Irish Whiskey and Orange Marmalade, Blueberry and Blood Orange Jam, Strawberry and Rhubarb Jam, Strawberry and Vanilla Jam.
Spicy Orange Marmalade
This gorgeous marmalade, made with Valencia orange, spicy red pepper flakes, sea salt and other spices, won a Silver Award at the Dalemain Marmalade Awards in England for the “International Marmalade with Interesting Additions” category. It is delightful with any sort of savory food, including steak, fish, even pizza. It’s also a wonderful addition to any sort of barbecued foods or cheese plate.
