Olio Crudo bar, Olio e Limone Ristorante’s new bar next door, is the latest addition to Alberto and Elaine Morello’s restaurant group. Offering crudo Italian seafood and meats, as well as cotto bar menu items, the menu is highly ingredient-driven, showcasing fresh, seasonal cuisine.
Olio Crudo Bar is inspired by the crudo you’ll find in all towns – both large and small – along the coast of Italy. Sicily and Sardegna are particularly known for their style of crudo, which relies on the traditional Italian method of preparing crudo: dressing the thinly-sliced fish with a little sea salt, and often Olio e Limone.
Think sashimi-style seafood with an Italian accent!
Popular dishes include Tonno Rosso (Atlantic Bluefin tuna belly, ginger vinaigrette, wasabi shoots); Ala Lunga (sliced Atlantic Bluefin tuna, sous-vide baby artichoke, crispy pearl onion rings and jalapeno-scented vinaigrette); Polipo (Mediterranean octopus with sliced new potatoes, frisée lettuce and spicy Controne pepper); Maiale (pressed Kurobuta pork belly withshaved Brussels sprouts and Fuji apple chutney).
Pair with one of their fabulous spumanti, such as AnnaMaria Clementi Ca’del Bosco Brut from Lomardia or Gavi Broglio Roverello Brut from Piemonte, or selections from their aperitivi, cocktails, white and red wine offerings.
Set against the dramatic backlit golden ceiling-to-bar faux marble wall, you’ll experience crudo dining like you would find in a sophisticated Milano-style bar setting.
“Our inspiration for the interior came from bars in Milano and New York, with the goal of creating a space that feels like Milano,” state owners Elaine Morello (General Manager) and Executive Chef Alberto Morello.
