Mate Gallery Montecito Country Mart

Bringing a nod to the nostalgia of New England history and culture to the West Coast through photography, art, home furnishings and gifts. Popular items are vintage indigo textiles, nautical brass, surf-inspired photographs, and vintage seascape oils from the East Coast.

The store is owned by Matt Albiani, a New York City fashion photographer and Montecito Realtor, Ron Brand.  This tiny gem of a shop is located in the Montecito Country Mart and displays everything from from vintage textiles and out-of-print books to signature scented candles and custom rope-wrapped surfboards. A carefully curated gallery with an ever-rotating display, you’ll find something unusual and exquisite during every visit.

Brass whale figurines, ships in bottles, old paintings of boat houses are ideal for adding genuine decorative accents to Central Coast’s beach-themed and contemporary homes.

“Mate Gallery is best described as a vintage home store with a nod to the nostalgia of New England history and culture, bringing the East Coast to the West Coast where nautical comes to California,” Brand and Albiani comment.
