This grand old Italianate estate in Montecito featured wide vistas, majestic old Oak trees and a pre-existing garden needing a major face-lift. Grace Design Associates, Inc. was retained to renovate the gardens, and create exterior living spaces to be enjoyed by the home owners.
Margie Grace, Lead Designer, added a bocce ball court shaded by the mature Oaks, an herb garden, strong perennial borders, and a fully landscaped dining patio.
Attention was also given to the gated motor court, pool, wisteria allee and fountains.
“The bones of a good garden were already there,” says Margie Grace. “Our job was to bring the structure to the forefront, so the beauty of the underlying garden of years past could shine through once again, along with modern improvements and additions, like the shaded bocce ball court.”
The result is a sophisticated, cohesive outdoor space that perfectly complements this lovely Montecito estate.
