deKor&Co. – which opened last December – is a collaboration between Swedish born interior designer Isabelle Dahlin and lifestyle and beauty editor Rachel Marlowe. The pair wanted to meld together their love of design and sustainable living all under one roof and create an exciting lifestyle retail destination in Ojai, CA.
Located in a former art gallery on South Montgomery Street, the 2000 square foot store carries an eclectic selection of vintage furniture, home accessories, beauty and wellness brands, fashion and jewelry, gardening supplies, art and books.
Clients can find an abundance of vintage and Scandinavian furniture and collected artwork, deKor&Co. along with Dahlin’s trademark reclaimed wood swings and custom made farm tables – everything one needs to make a space designed for comfort, friends and the ultimate feeling of being “at home”.
Rachel Marlowe, who has contributed to leading publications including W and Vogue, is passionate on the subject of non-toxic beauty and carefully curates the beauty and wellness brands at deKor&Co. to reflect that. She hopes to create an in-store apothecary that will become a destination for beauty addicts. Isabelle is known for her eclectic style and her work has been featured in Martha Stewart Living, Domaine, Sunset Magazine, Anthology Magazine and Apartment Therapy.
The pair met through Isabelle’s husband Brandon Boudet, executive chef and co-owner of L.A.s cult eateries Dominick’s, Little Dom’s and 101 Coffee Shop, and instantly bonded over their love of travel and sourcing treasures from abroad. When Isabelle bought a weekend house in Ojai, a beautiful town located in the foothills of the Topa Topa Mountains and famous for its oak-shaded ranches, fragrant citrus groves and pink sunsets, the pair knew it was the perfect place to open a lifestyle store.
